Sunstone Teardrop Wand

These round wands taper to a point and are cut from larger pieces of natural stone or crystal, making each one truly unique. Wands are commonly used to direct energy in practices such as reflexology, massage, and crystal healing.

This particular variety of feldspar is known as plagioclase. The orange-gold, and sometimes brown, sunstone forms from molten lava and reflects light due to minute scales of hematite, goethite, pyrite, or copper. This glittery effect is called aventurescence, similar to the visual effect found in aventurine. Sunstone is related to labradorite and moonstone, which are also types of feldspars known for their schiller effect.

Once believed to be pieces of the sun, sunstone is thought to be joyful and nurturing. Emotionally, it is used to lift dark moods and combat draining energies. It is also believed to heighten intuition and invite joy.
