Patchouli Essential Oil

One of our most popular selling oils, this pure Patchouli Essential Oil in 10 ml bottles with a dropper insert. Perfect to add to one of our oil burners or to pot-pourri for a gentle aroma throughout the whole room.  The main use for our Patchouli Oil is to be worn as a perfume by simply rubbing a drop or two on your neck or behind your ears.  Can also be worn on your wrists with no need to dilute with a carrier oil.

Patchouli oil is obtained from the steam distillation of the leaves of the odoriferous plant, native to India. This is a scent people tend to either love or hate; it is earthy, with an aroma that improves with age. Energetically, the oil is considered warm in nature. It may help ground and stabilize the the over-anxious mind, bringing one back to one's body. Long considered an aphrodisiac, it may work through this relaxing, re-establishing connection to one's sensuality. The aroma may also uplift and work as an antidepressant for some, and has been considered to bring about a sense of spiritual nourishment.

Our line of pure essential and fragrance oils are made in Elora, Ontario by a small, family run company. The Essential Oil line is 100% pure without any additives or dilution. The Fragrance Oil line is named as such due to the addition of Jojoba or Almond Oil as a base carrier. This is done in an effort to keep costs down or because the oil without dilution would be a thick tar like mass. It is recommended that anybody with a nut allergy should stay away from this line as a precaution. Rest assured that there are not any carcinogens or synthetics in this line.
